Kozhikode, Oct 31 (IVC) All the four accused in the sensational mass rape at Janakikkad near here by Nadapuram POCSO court today.
While the first, third and the fourth accused were awarded rigorous life imprisonment, the fourth accused was awarded 30 years rigorous imprisonment.
The court also awarded a fine of Rs 4.25 lakh (Four lakh and twenty-five thousand rupees only) to be paid by all the accused together, the prosecution said.
The accused were awarded sentence under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
According to prosecution, a 13-year old girl hailing from Ngaland was brutally raped by the convicted about two years back. Further details of the sentence were awaited .
