181 vials of heroin, worth total of Rs 5 lakh, seized from migrant worker in Perumbavoor

In Perumbavoor, Excise detained a migrant worker and seized heroin worth Rs. 5 lakh from his possession. Nusrul Islam, an Assamese native, is the accused.

He had 181 vials in which he had kept heroin, according to the officials. Following a raid carried out on the basis of information that drug use has increased among the migrant labourers in the area, the suspect was apprehended.

According to the officials, Nasrul Islam transported the psychotropic medications from Assam. According to the accuser, the drugs were stored in vials for simple distribution. Costs for each vial range from Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 2,500.

Excise informed that an investigation has been launched to determine whether he sold the heroine to students or locals other than the region’s migrant labourers. Inspections have been stepped up in this area.
